What are the effects of alcohol on personal relationships?
i am interested in this topic because i see a lot of friends including myself hurt or ruin relationships with friends or girlfriends when intoxicated.
1.) Hayes, Nick. "Effects of Alcoholism on Relationships." Web log post. Drug Rehab Blog. Narconon, 16 Mar. 2010. Web. 27 Oct. 2010. <http://narconon.ca/blog/alcohol- addiction/effects-alcoholism-relationships/>.
This source is not scholarly. i know this because it is a blog. i think the quality is good because it is coming from a man that has been through alcoholism and knows the effects on relationships he had. he now can look back and see how it truly effected him because he had graduated from the Narconon drug rehab program. it is bias because it is coming from a man who has seen it effects but made it out so he sees the bad side of the effects. it is relevant to me because it states the effects a real man experience with alcohol and how it effected his relationships. it will provided personal experience to my paper.
i think you are making several main points. let me see if iv'e got them straight. first, you say alcohol can hurt your relationships because of financial problems. Then, you say that alcohol takes up all your time not allowing you to go out and interact with friends, girlfriends, or family. And finally, you go on to say that alcohol makes you moody insensitive and maybe even violent.
i really like your point about how the alcoholic takes out his aggression the most on the one who loves him the most because that is very strange you would think that you wouldn't want to do that but instead you really do.
i disagree with you about how the ones that love them the most are the only ones that can save him and have to do something because a lot of the time the alcoholic doesn't want help or wont accept it. i believe it part of the responsibility falls on part to the alcoholic because until they are one hundred percent committed to quitting nothing will work.

this article is about the people alcohol affects in the family and what their rolls are.
this article will help me understand how people in a family are treated and act while someone in their family is an alcoholic.
3.) Collins, James J. Drinking and Crime: Perspectives on the Relationships between Alcohol Consumption and Criminal Behavior. London [England: Tavistock, 1982. Print.
this book is about how drinking can lead to criminal activity which puts stress on relationships.
i think this will help me understand some of the major problems and troubles drunk people get into so i can better understand how it effects their relationships.

this scholarly source is about how alcohol is felt from the people around those who drink.
i believe it will help me gather information about how people act or try to deal with people who are drinking.
